    This world can treat God’s children quite nastily sometimes, can’t it? Sadly, even fellow Christians can treat us poorly too, but as our verse for today states, the Lord is our refuge, our hiding place. What comfort there is in the precious Word of God!
    When we cling to Him He is our shield, nothing gets by Him and touches one hair on our heads unless He allows it. God knows all and sees all, He cannot be deceived by any, we never have to wonder if He is aware of the trials we are going through in life because He is right there dwelling on the inside of us through His Holy Spirit. That Holy Spirit gives us strength, comfort, and endurance to persevere with peace in our hearts because we are resting in our Father God who loves us so very much! Although circumstances may be unpleasant, when our hearts are centered on Him there is a peace that passes understanding within us.

    The last part of the verse says, “I have put my hope in Your Word.”
    We will never, ever be disappointed when we place our hope in His promises. God’s Word is precious to His true children for we know that it is His love letter to us. God gave us His Word for comfort, guidance through this life, and sure hope for the future when He comes to take us from this earth. Oh, that we would read, study, and meditate upon His Word each day and apply what He reveals to us in our day to day walk.

    Thank You Father God for being my Shield and my hiding place. Thank You for Your protection in this life and for Your Word which leads and guides. Thank You for sending Jesus to shed His blood for my sins, I love You so and give You all praise this day Abba, Amen!
