    Memorial Day.
    We The People
raise the flag, early this morning to full staff,
    to remember.
Who do we remember? you might ask?
    Private Laflautter
lying in an unmarked grave, with only
    a small placard and a
    U. S. Flag stuck in the ground,
    in plot, with no family,
next to Pop's in a small town Cemetery!
    Who is Private Laufluater?
    lying next to Pop's?
That is what I asked, when we visited
    Pop's grave yesterday.
    Does it really matter, who
    Private Laflautters was?
He died in Iraq in 2005,
Has no family, or at least none
have visited his grave, since he was laid to rest.
Perhaps his own Parents too poor,
    to buy a grave marker?
Perhaps to heartbroken to ever revisit the grave?
    Suppose we will never know?
But the Local Veterans group does not
    forget him.
Just a flag stuck in the grass, on an unmarked grave, in a small town cemetery, in America.
    To all the Private Laflautters
we raise the Memorial Day Flag, Today!
    Here comes the Morning Sun!

    The National Memorial Day Celebration,
    on PBS just completed,
So many nice tributes to the
Men and Women in our Military Services.
    Let us mention a few,
The 2nd Ranger Battalion that jumped into the Korean War, nearly froze, under
the first winter. Fighting the endless minions of the Communist Chinese,
    for every one Communist killed,
    100 would take his place.
    Next to mention,
    The Vietnam Nurses,
we always remember the Soldiers killed,
    but never even considered the
    Nurses trying to save lives,
day after day behind the lines,
    in the Military Medical Centers.
We just always took them for granted,
    because they were always there.
I suppose like the Fire Fighters on
9/11, we just always expect them
to be there? why do we think that way?
I guess because they always are.
    Next all those Soldiers like
Joe Pualfure ( It is close to the spelling )
    Who was killed in Iraq,
leaving a Wife and two Daughters behind, 15 years ago,
Gold Star Families make the on going,
    greatest sacrifice, for the nation.
    Graduations, Weddings without Dad!
    Lest We Forget?

  4. Decades of war in the middles east for oil, generations of natives died, thousands of US soldiers died, & the 👐chi-na👐virus brought gas under $2 in 2 months, what a waste
