i was in geelong today, a city approximately 100 kilometres from melbourne, and there was smoke in the air. all i want to see this summer is a clear blue sky.
We desperately need help from overseas. Our prime minister has done absolutely nothing to assist us with these fires.
Our government has abandoned its own people, there are far more than than 100 fires as stated in this news brief.
There’s been well over 100 fires on a daily basis in just the state of New South Wales alone.
Our government is refusing to spend money on fighting these fires, and is relying on volunteers.
This is criminal negligence at its most evil, with an estimated 500,000,000 animals killed already from these fires.

This is a fire season that’s been going on for months and we still have 2 full months of summer to go and then Autumn is still a major threat to us.
Please believe my words as I have fire fighting experience, I have also lost a family friend who has perished in these fires and I also run a volunteer group of well over 2000 volunteers who are putting water and feed out into fire affected areas in an attempt to help support our wildlife.
But we are constantly fighting a losing battle on a daily basis.
Please keep broadcasting footage and information about what’s happening here in Australia it’s far greater than anyone could ever imagine.

If you don't burn, you will be burnt. It is necessary to burn the under grow, fallen trees, vegetation fuel in the off season in order to avoid the spread of bush fires. Also if you choose to live in an eucalypt forest, then you are asking for trouble. these trees don't burn like normal woods, they are rich in oil and basically explode once lit. Bulldoze all these trees around home and plant eg. citrus trees, they don't burn and don't lose the leaves. Don't ask for permission from government. When the government make inhumane legislation, then it is people's duty to disobey.
