A suspect shot the first officer at the scene and then barricaded himself in a home with two other people and a baby. The suspect appeared to fire as officers approached to rescue the baby.

Remember seeing my dad beat my mom when she was 9 months pregnant. And everyone in the house always shook when dad came home, usually drunk. He sure fuc..d our minds up. He sure liked to beat mom, and us. None of went to his funeral when he died. Don't know why he hated us so much. But I still loved him, even though starting around when I was 5, he would make me take off all my clothes and count a 100 hits with the belt. I would watch skin come off where the end of the belt hit, and he always explained exactly what he was going to do, except for pouring a box of salt on me afterwards. That all changed when I turned 12, when he beat me like a man with his fists, until he usually knocked me out.
Don't think any normalcy ever existed for us. Most never marrying, or having kids. Yeah, just don't know why my dad married, or had a family. Think it would have been better for him if he didn't.
So I kinda know what goes on with these fellas, so full of hate, mistaken by them, for true love, but really true anger. And it happens a lot, unfortunately.
