COSCO, a Chinese state-owned shipping company, owns a majority of a shipping port near Athens. Chinese companies have spent billions on similar ports in a number of countries, according to data compiled by conservative think tank AEI. Experts say the U.S. is offering no real competition for China when it comes to these ports worldwide.
