Well first off, drug use should not be a crime, especially cannabis. The three things that should make drug use a crime… 1. Selling to minors. 2. Selling a drug to an adult with out informing them exactly what’s in it. 3. Driving under the influence of intoxicating drugs.
Otherwise, drug use should be a personal informed choice an adult makes. We all know drugs can be addictive, bad, some potentially deadly… this is supposed to be a free country, you should be able to take ownership of your own body, be able to decide what you consume or don’t consume. There are too many crimes that shouldn’t be crimes, and our law makers should be removing those laws from the books.
