The healthiest situation for east and SE Asia is a stable region collectively secured by Japan, the US, South Korea, Australia, and hopefully other partners including Singapore, Indonesia, etc. It's right for China to have it's say in the region but, plainly speaking, the CCP has hardly shown the maturity at this point to think it can be fully trusted — it's actions in the east sea (Chinese call it Chinese sea) are a great example of that.
