10. I was a military spouse for 7 years. I am not even remotely surprised that there is racism and extremism. Seriously, most people with military affiliation are not. If a person can be brainwashed to support the United States military at all costs, why can't they also be brainwashed to support extremist groups? The military doesn't want to deal with the fact that their brainwashing actually has negative effects on society so instead they say that they're going to ask a question in the recruiting office to deter people from joining the military who are a part of extremist groups. Here's the thing: I can assure you this is a Band-Aid because all of us saw vets at the capital. The moment you forget about this, that question will be removed from recruiter's offices because they are desperately in need of keeping up quotas. The job is difficult enough without having to disqualify people based on what they believe. So I highly doubt this will be implemented in any other way other than a yes/no question so they can continue with the paperwork to increase military force. But ok
