  1. Root cause: The FAA is an inept do-nothing bureaucracy that a) has no long-term planning ability and b)loves to sound alarms to make it seem like they’re credible. Fire them all and start over. Typical government program = USELESS. Fire the administrator!

  2. Truth is nobody is gonna care until a crash happens. Then we will revolutionize air travel AFTER it it paid in blood like always. Also the FAA was busy dealing with the uptick in crazy passengers. They haven't had time to deal with 5G. The FAA is pretty tiny when you look at it.

  3. In other countries, the watts used are significantly lower than in the US…In France it's in the 600s whereas here in us in the 1500s….not only that but the angle of the waves is specifically set up differently here….this is covered on British news stations but not ours…this is complete and total manipulation from Att and so incredibly stupid. Putting people's lives at risk. When will it stop, I can't stand it anymore.

  4. Erm, what kind of geniuses work at the FCC? They decided to gloss over potentially life-threatening interference within a shared spectrum? "Good enough for government work", eh?

  5. 40 countries have not safely deployed it. They are stuffing it into neighborhoods every 500 yards and people are having neurological issues and dying, and it's killing off entire flocks!!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason those countries are getting away with it is because their populations have NO VOICE TO SAY NO to it. Their governments ride rough shod over their populations.

  6. The most important note is at the end of the clip. Few other news coverage even mention this:

The FCC (spectrum regulator) has determined that the 5G deployment won't interfere with the airlines radar altimeter. The FAA (airline regulator) has dropped the ball, given how long this possible issue has been known, but has yet to release a finding whether it is safe or not.

  7. no crisis.. not many people actually need 5G anyways… the excuse seems odd too because can't they get their altitude from GPS? What does SpaceX use? Radar?

  8. Do you remember when Apple don't producing any phone yet and US. have only Motorola with it's 900Mhz? When foreign countries GSM 1800Mhz phone came out to market, They do the same thing they said that phone wave 1800Mhz gonna cause cancer!…😁

  9. BS. Huawei 5G been roll out in China and 21 other nations for a year now. 5G services are offer on in-flight. No such problem cause Huawei's 5G have a different frequency. Lower then the one America using. That's what u get for knock offs.

  10. This problem is easy to solve start off with five big airports in usa or two big airports do a three day trial with 5 g if major problems then spectrum engineers are going to have to solve the problem. If there are no problems with five airports then after a week add five more slowly adopt 5 g i am sure certain designed airports will have problems lower power of signal folks have u ever heard of tweeting a signal or calibrating it this will take time probably some money but the new technology will become available at all airports u just have to work togather faa fcc and AT&T and Verizon we all can solve this problem but safety comes first.

  11. It's looks like just to happen only in US. by political game. Here in Finland we have 5G towers everywhere, including airports with no any problem. You can also go to check with another countries too if they have any problem with 5G…😁

  12. On January the 20th I get to cancel my electric utility connection and simply rely upon 5G to do all my cooking, light my house……….

  13. The most important note is at the end of the clip. Few other news coverage even mention this:

  14. 5G and the digital generations before it use a myriad of separate carrier frequencies of various modulation schemes allowing the differing protocols used by your cell phone and IoT devices. On a very basic level imagine that there are different frequencies being used for voice, data, SMS, GPS, etc. . . This particular launch as the reporter stated is for a specific frequency range(s) for higher data throughput than before, meaning your loading times on your phone will be reduced. Wikipedia has an article on the specifics. Just don't pretend you're a electromagnetic RF wizard if you don't have a degree of higher education in the fields of study.

  15. 'MURIKA. It's not difficult to test this conspiracy. It either does or does not impact altimeters. Easy to prove. Otherwise, you have to wonder whether we don't just have a few 5G conspiracy theorists that are being elevated to the unreasonable level of legitimacy.

  16. "No long term solution in sight" Because, naturally, we couldn't test the potential effects on aircraft altimeters. Nor could we leverage the information from the same types of planes flying in Europe. And, naturally, the FAA head has known about this for years but has done nothing to address it so that his department can hold the rest of the U.S. hostage. Preposterous that this individual has so much power and so little accountability. Typical of the U.S. government though.

  17. Ive been saying for YEARS that it is BS that they make us turn off the devices we carry with us when the aircraft has to fly through Radar Beams and right next to CELLULAR TOWERS.
Now the FAA is finally ADMITTING that it IS the towers they are concerned about and not the hand held devices.

  18. Why is nobody discussing the harm of 5G on humans. Look at the studies that show death of trees nears the 5G towers. Read about the ailments people have when near these towers. Crazy!!

  19. It is not just aircraft, they are also causing interference with microwave links used for public safety like police, fire and hospitals. This is all well known and we've had years to prepare. Basically it all comes down to money and the public pressure for 5G. They auctioned off spectrum for 5G, collected the cash and told the people already using adjacent spectrum to deal with the interference. Peoples lives might theoretically be lost, but as you can see from the comments on this video, most people think it is much more important to be able to download cat videos at slightly higher speed.
