19. Reading through the comments reacting to this report, one gets the sense that the report was a big indictment of white people. But I did get that impression at all. Not once did I hear anything that indicated there was ANY blame WHATSOEVER of white people for the fact that racial minorities visit the national parks at a lower rate, overall, than white people. I think what got a lot of people riled up was the title, and I will wager that a lot of those commenting did not even watch the video at all.

    Actually, I am more concerned about our lack of connection to nature OVERALL than with any racial disparity. So many people of all races stay cooped up in cities for months–even years–on end, and this is absolutely NO GOOD for their outlook on life. Being out in nature, in beautiful areas, not having to meet deadlines, not having to deal with all the BS and stress that daily life can bring, is important for all of our health and well-being. The farther from nature that we are, and the more time we are away from it, the more we lose our grip on what is really important in life.

23. I walk daily in whatever park is available. I try to go to a National park yearly. More if I can. People make choices to where they want to vacation.
