  1. Does life have consciousness in itself? The Bible talks about the book of life and Books are written out of meanings and meanings come out of consciousness. I don't need the Bible to find where my reality comes from walking with truth hiking the Appalachian Trail I could check and balance my own nature along the way. I think this is where the saying you can't fool mother nature comes from. People have steered so far away from reality it is scary. Politics and its religions with political correctness and opinionated news is not going to save the day. I come out of a generation where tattoos were rarely seen. Today having a natural body is almost a sin against the American way. Megan Fox gets married drinking her lover's blood. American no longer lives in a natural state, Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Britney Spears all have tattoos… little girls now fight to become members of a tattoo cult. Even in my homelessness, I found reality along the Appalachian Trail to be beautiful experience. Coming back to city lights I know now we can turn what's beautiful into what is ugly. Here is my writing of some of the beauty I found in nature before the ugliness showed up. Nature is natural and is beautiful in itself is tomorrow going to Change This?

I can remember the time when I was backpacking in the Smoky Mountains, I put up my hammock watching this deer drinking out of a stream behind me. With the smell of pine needles rising off the sunbaked ground I started to believe that none of this was real. The sun was starting to set, there was this green hue coming off the moss-covered rocks rising over the stream between the shadows of the mountains. I close my eyes to take a short nap, when I open them again I noticed this butterfly in front of me sitting on my hammock. In less than 15 minutes they were all over me bringing so many colors with them I thought I was in Disneyland and all of this was being made up… I was wrong, I even caught a trout later on that day. Needless to say, this was one of the best days I ever had Just me myself and I waking up to the realization that I was a spiritual being.

PS. I have found nature to have the best checks and balances in learning who I am. It is so sad that coming back to the city I have to find it from norms and mores and its politics with religion to know where I stand among my peers today. People are divided today and their children have to learn who they are coming out of hate. By the way, homeless people are not homeless they are just through-hikers in life. To be honest about it, city lights and all of its toys doesn't come anywhere close to the intensity you can find to be real in nature. By the way, don't be xenophobic back in 1970 I could hike the Appalachian Trail for two weeks and not see a single soul and when someone did show up I have to tell you that I found consciousness to be very comforting no matter what body it was coming out of… A beautiful thing.
