The problem is that this was done as a stunt (9/11 deadline – which was recently changed after the fiasco) for political gain. We all knew the Taliban would eventually take over. The issue is that the draw-out was done so fast to make the political deadline that they forgot to get everyone who went against the Taliban out, that includes AMERICANS. That should have been done right from the beginning, ESPECIALLY if the government knew the Taliban would take over, regardless of how fast it happened. Not only are there precious people behind the lines, but we also were forced to abandon $83 billion dollars of arms including Humvees, planes, and at least one Blackhawk helicopter. And get this, the REAL problem is that we also left behind a bunch of computer and communication hardware which includes information such as vital information of the people who worked with us! Everyone who is there is at risk. This could have all been avoided…
