I’ve worked in Mental Health. There’s a simple solution to reduce mass shootings: stop talking about them. Copycat crimes exist. Look it up for more info.
While I think it's important for Garland to identify this as a hate crime and his pledge to to prosecute it as such is welcome, but he's got bigger fish to fry and he's doing nothing apparent about them.
When your a victim of violence over and again that natural immediate response of a normal is to be angry but if a vicious cycle of abuse keeps on repeating and non stop then HATE IS THE OUTCOME which the society deserves what they asked for. you want to forgive them but doing repetitvelybabusing you over and again and they expect you to giggle and laugh ..then these people are bunch of stupid privilege thieves

With the benefit of hindsight, I sincerely hope that lessons will be learnt this time and procedures will be reviewed thoroughly and vigorously to ensure that this doesn't occur again on US soil. Prayers, vigils, resolve and meaningful dialogue.
