5. As I watch this show in its entirety, I notice how the 1970s police laugh when they talked of this guy EVEN when discussing his jail breakouts. A murderer smiling and talking with police AFTER killing, brutally killing, innocent victims including a twelve year old little girl, which happened after his second breakout from a prison where the interviewed police smiled as they discussed his escape. But wait…no knee to the neck when capturing this man even after his second escape. Instead, they engage in jovial talking and smiles. Very interesting. Here’s a thought: I wonder if the families of the victims smiled when they learned and discussed of his escape from each prison???

My parents were both career police in Baltimore City where they witnessed the worst of the worst every single day in terms of crime and they were in a unique position of being able to SHOW ME the evil in this world. Instead of just talking about it, they made sure I SAW it at a very early age. My father has drilled into my head for my entire life, “I don’t care where you are or what time it is—you never walk alone at night—you call me.” Even now at age 33, if I feel unsafe leaving a bar at 2am, or after studying in the library during finals at 4am, all I have to do is call him. No matter the time, no matter the day—he’ll wake up to stay on the phone w me while I walk to the car and he wouldn’t hang up until the locks on the car door clicked, the engine started, and the car was in motion just to make sure my vehicle was working properly. He also taught me certain descriptive characteristics to scream out if someone ever tried to abduct me while I was walking alone w him on the phone. To this day, my father has NEVER missed one of these phone calls—not a single one. I am so thankful for my parents, so damn thankful.

14. Ladies, girls and women be very careful when you are alone. Your lives depend on it. Go in couples or with a group. Watch out for people you met in bars.Bundy picked up the 12 year old by saying something was wrong at home. Give your kids a “code word”. If the person picking them up doesn’t know it, don’t get in the care with them. It is a dangerous, scary world out there.
