  1. People fail to realize what a company has to do to keep the lights on, Maybe they got a loan on there business to keep people working or to by materials to build the machines when the orders were not coming in, these loans could have been in the millions of dollars and when these profits kick in these same loans have to be paid back and what happens in the lean years when a company does not do to well selling there product are you still employed. Look I am not saying by any means that John Deer has done this, But we all need to keep in mind what companies go through in order to keep there business running. Also just because a company makes good profits does not mean your entitled to any of it. Remember your an employee who gets paid for your services that is it and that is all the company owes you. Employee are under some type of illusion that they are entitled to the company profits and they are not. And just because John Deer has signed a new deal with there employees do not be fooled by the possibility that they still may relocate there entire operations from this plant to some other part of the world (like Mexico ) all this agreement does is allow the company more time to finalize and make the move. Good luck to all I hope it all works out.

  2. I’m glad for them but this is why everything is going to Asian countries to be made. People in the USA think they should earn 100 thousand a year to work in a factory.

  3. 220 times? That's it? The average CEO-to-median worker pay ratio now is 340:1. Back in the 1960's, it was 20:1. Something happened between then and the early 2000's when it ballooned to 400:1 before dipping slightly. We call it Reagan.
