I didn't vote for Newsom, but I'm certainly glad we've got such an intelligent and well read man in office during this crisis. I may not like him for a number of reasons, but at least He, unlike our [soon-to-be-former] President, pays attention to real doctors, real scientists, and follows Their recommendations instead of relying on witch doctors and "gut instinct." If Newsom had been President, the nation's idiots would still have rioted over common sense lock downs, but the death toll would never have gotten to even half of what Trump has not only Allowed, with his inaction and attempts to cast blame instead of doing the right thing, but actually Encouraged.

I am sick and tired of hearing about the “new normal”! A PERMANENT police state? Is that what the oligarchs want?!! I will no longer be satisfied with just returning to how things were before!
I will not rest until:
1) We return to a world WITHOUT masks, (anti)Social Distancing, etc.
2) All restrictions on crowd sizes, business hours, rules of operating, etc. have been abolished.
3) The perpetrators of this Covid 1984 hoax have been brought to justice, and punished severely!

Here we go again with our Tyrant Governor doing the only thing he knows how to do – shut down the state. I notice that very little of the government of the state ever shuts down. Cal Trans is working full speed ahead and the French Laundry is still open. BTW do you know hospitals are furloughing medical workers and have been for quite a while. Why??? Because the hospitals aren't full. Maybe the ICU's are getting there, maybe. But I stopped believing the media and Newsom a long time ago.

Though Covid infections in the US are increasing, the US Covid death rate is declining big time from 6%+ six months ago to 1.9% today or a 98.1% survival rate nationally. Much lower in many states. And 90+% of the Covid deaths are in the elderly and precondition populations, which means that mostly all healthy American workers and children have a nearly Zero Covid death rate.
