  1. Landlord should be able to get the money from who ever said we don't have to pay rent it is a pandemic and ppl dying every day so write the landlord a big check for all the tentent and when the pandemic over then send to back to paying rent it not the ppl fault its the system

The president is doing the best he needs to end this COVE19 many people are not vaccinated because they do not understand that this is important, CDC instead of ruling ILLEGAL MORATORIES against the Landlords , was supposed to dedicate the CDC (Center for the control and disease prevention) themselves to ask AUTHORITIES TO APPROVE A MANDATORY VACCINATION FOR CDC IN THE USA and this important rule was supposed to come from the CDC and this should be at the beginning of the onset of the pandemic at this time if that would have happened we would be free of the pandemic, I am happy that this is mandatory.

  4. The National Park Service announced their first planned mission to Venus today. The EPA will now be protecting our coastline from drug traffickers. This will allow the Coast Guard to complete their intended project of a tunnel to Iceland. /sarcasm The CDC does not remotely have this type of power. They can't even quarantine an American citizen to stay in their own home. That power lies with the state and local medical authorities.

  5. What did it looked to be able to close your business to stop the hemorrhaging? We couldn’t. What if you were required by law to stay open incurring all expenses and providing services to everyone with out payment for over a year? What would happen if you tried to pick up your paycheck and it was given to someone else whom was deemed more important. Then they took your savings and retirement to keep serving them freely. America stood by and cheered while America’s 8 million middle class grandparent landlords were mugged in plain sight. Now there is talk of “extra” stimulus and how you are going to spend it. Not one thought to paying the landlords. Gov could end the evictions. This is an evil not seen in generations. Where one small section of people are forced to hold the burden for everyone else. We call that slavery. Where your needs are all that matter. You decide who will do the work while you and only you rep the benefits. And you all cheered it on and demanded more.

  6. CDC just invoked a credit card payment moratorium! Also heard The Department of Fish and Wildlife started a moratorium on construction material purchases.

  7. I'm guessing that quite a few properties will be for sale. The very generous cheques sent out should have been directed towards outstanding rent where due. Landlords bills don't have a moratorium.

Kinda makes me mad that I'm a single mom who can't afford to live on her own yet my tax money is going to some loser who lives off the government and gets to live in their apartment rent free while I am busting my butt off at work and paying for people to live there with my tax money while I work and still have to live with my parents because I can't afford it

  9. These laws are not thought out. As a landlord (of just 1 single family home in CA-the welfare state), I can't get the "Housing Is Key" to let me know if my tenant has even applied. I don't know if I can get rejected.

    My tenant probably registered, but she has not completed the application I'm sure. She's too lazy too.

    What does the law say about how to serve the 15 day notice and follow up with the eviction?

    – I applied for rental relief on 6/30/2021.
    – I convinced my tenant to just register for assistance on 7/22/2021.
    – On the same day, I also served her a 15 day notice to pay or quit since I know she won't apply.
    – She is supposed to declare that she's affected by covid by 8/13/2021. She hasn't yet.

    Can I proceed to file an eviction? My lawyer is saying that if her application is pending, I cannot. But when I called HousingIsKey, they said they can't tell me the status of the application. This is all very ridiculous to me. I have about 4 documents I have to fil out, or pay a lawyer $1K to maybe be able to evict her.

  10. Good luck, I’ll be fighting this like everyone else if I have to. The courts decided. I have not fought hard to have what I earned removed by politicians.

    This would be like the public library taking to the streets and issuing traffic citations. What they said means nothing. Their mandate is just words

If you believe an unelected government bureaucrat has the power to issue laws then you don't believe in a representative democracy; you don't believe in the rule of law; you don't believe in our Constitution; and, you support a rogue tyrannical government. If WE don't join together to stop these tyrants now, who will be left to stop the tyrants when they come for you?

  15. While the Delta virus is high people need to have a place to stay safe with or without the vaccine shot. There are already too many homeless people out there. Businesses are opening hopefully people can find work. Hopefully landlords will let tenants make arrangements to catch up on back rent.

  16. Evictions are ordered by your local court. The court may follow CDC guidelines or the U.S. Supreme Count. It may not. All of your furniture is sitting in the front yard, and you don't have a dime. What are you going to do? Give a lawyer a $10000 retainer to appeal your eviction with the State Supreme Court? Get real.

  17. Now now you have no legal authority to do this congress is the only one who can make that call, not even the president has that power(had to research that one). We the people need to take a stand against this assault on our individual freedom!

  18. What about landlords rights??? It’s not their problem you can’t pay rent. The renter is going to keep their money even if they can afford them move out when they get evicted!!!!!I guess if you work hard and buy a home you do t get rewarded

  19. Where is the relief for landlords?
    If utilities, property taxes, mortgages and insurance aren't paid due to rents not being paid, all lose.
    Landlord/homeowner loses home and tenants lose rental.

  21. Mr Biden is intentionally and knowingly breaking the law and stealing private property in the process. Billions were approved for this in the Jan Relief bill, where is the money? It should be paid to the landlords but isn't, why? Where is the impeachment Ms Pelosi, Mr Schumer Mr Schiff, Mr Nadler…? Hypocrites looking to take control forever. Hope and pray everyone sees the light and does the right thing. My opinion
