  6. I don't understand why people aren't trying to collect these lizards during cold snaps. Iguanas in Florida are an extremely invasive species. I get you wanna be compassionate I would be too beacuse I am personally an animal lover especially for reptiles, but I also understand ecosystems and what species belongs where. Iguanas do not belong in Florida. Like many other invasive species in Florida they have caused a massive impact on the ecosystems of Florida and need to be eradicated. So with these cold snaps it's a great opportunity to try and collect as many of these animals as possible while they are incapacitated.

Poor things 😢 feel bad for them I can’t believe our mayor of Florida told everyone to kill then just because they’re invasive what a stupid sick fucker that’s just wrong on so many levels these guys have just as much right to live as anything else does. If I spot one in my yard I’m not killing it whatsoever I’m catching it and taking it a sanctuary or to a zoo where I know it can be well cared for what’s sad about this is these guys are the direct result of people turning exotic pets lose in the wild because they can no longer care for them I spoke to someone along time ago when I was in my teens who lived in a neighborhood and as s child she would look out her window every night and see people up in the field with pet carriers and when it was so dark you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face they would open the carriers all at the same time and turn their exotic pets loose into the wild I’m talking pets like iguanas ball pythons monitor lizards King cobras just to name a few you Name it she saw it. Every exotic animal you can think off all being released into the wild so yeah leave iguanas the hell alone or if you just happen to spot one rescue it and if you should happen to want to keep it do so it’s better than killing It for Pete’s sake That’s the problem with this nation they kill something they cannot control and instead of killing them rescue them and let them live they’re not hurting anybody or killing someones child or dog I mean my god 😡any reptile expert can tell you the weather is harsh on these guys as it is for any reptile the reason why they’re falling from the trees is because they’re cold blooded and the weather is putting them into a coma they loose all abilities to move and end up going unconscious I m asking you today is it right to kill something just because it’s in a coma without giving it a fighting chance no way If I was allowed to keep one as a pet I would no questions asked but for those who do or can for the matter rescue these little guys and make one into a pet today because even though they kill the wild ones which is wrong they can’t kill one if you decide to make it your pet I love reptiles dearly in my class photo at the age of 11 I got to hold a 10 foot Python along with my classmates and I had the privilege of having my photo taken with an iguana on my head as well at the age of 13 when I was in keywest Florida these guys help keep the insect populations under control and if they wipe them all out the insect populations will get out of control to the point where people can’t even go outside to walk their dogs or their children can’t play outdoors or even drive to the store to get groceries is that the kind of life you want to live because it sure ain’t the way I wanna live that’s for damn sure. If you think about it kill off an entire species and what happens they never come back what if you went to the pet store in hopes of buying an iguana but are told “ oh everyone killed all the ones off in the wild and no one bothered to save the lives of any of them so iguanas are extinct now and will no longer be available in the pet trade sorry bout that you’d be crushed and disappointed and wished you had done something sooner rather than later.
