18. I wonder if urban sprawl into the area "moving with blinding speed" by development into the countryside had anything to do with all the destruction. How old were those subdivisions and was the fire caused by NEW POWER LINES feeding them going down?
    Maybe environmental impact studies need to be taking seriously instead of bribes and kick backs letting new housing eat up the countryside.

    Just think all those new housing subdivisions drag all the crap people who moved there are trying to escape from with them. There NOT LIVING in the serene country side if they make neighborhoods in it just like the ones in the big cities? It's really senseless and as it seems costly destructive to their own lives for falling for it. Living in the beautiful serene countryside is the biggest selling point. I bet the only view they get of it is while driving the extra 30 miles to work or anywhere for moving out in the middle of the sticks.

19. I used to live there, although my old house missed the fire by about 2 blocks. I feel sorry for my friend though. He's been in the hospital with Covid for 2 months now, finally got out of the ICU about a week ago, and now his house burnt to the foundation.
