I can imagine if you have a neighbour and you two don't get along very well you can place it in his house. If nobody saw you and nobody was home it can do some serious damage and nobody will know it was you. If he is lucky the deer will be calm, just curious and don't trash anything. Then your neighbour will get only a little shock. And yes I know it's stupid and mean.

If you pull up the blinds and open the windows and doors he'll run out. Not the sharpest taks, but then cops usually aren't. I realise they eventually opened the door but it took one out of several to come up with that brilliant idea and only after quite a time.
