Someone should ask the residents of DC “ Do you want to pay the local Taxes required to pay the 11 billion dollar budget of local government and services?That $15,000.00 per person per year! They get representation without taxation because they have 435 Congress people and 100 senators. Puerto Rico votes no on statehood for the same reason the get more in services than they could generate in local taxes.
If DC becomes a State. Then where is the capital of the United States going to be. Cause the constitution say the capital can't be within the boundaries of a State.
