1. Intermittent force, alone. There is no evidence, whatsoever, that DC used enough sufficient, prolonged and excessive force to cause the death of GF, no matter what paid, or unpaid, experts claimed. Many things came together to create this unfortunate event. DC may have been doing the best he could, given the situation – drugs,crowd, cameras, rookie colleagues, resistance etc – keeping things calm whilst awaiting the ambulance. Also, there is no evidence of racism.

And then to continue kneeling on his neck while he was clearly not moving and unconscious. I can't imagine what it would be like to stand nearby and not being able to do anything to help mr floyd. 12. Excessive force charge; I agree with that. The knee on the neck is what Minneapolis Police allow and teach the knee on the neck. The PD needs to be called out for training this.

    But, the police officer used that knee on the neck because that is a move that police in Minneapolis are taught to use. So the accusation of homicide may go out the door because the police department allows that knee on the neck move.
    Now, can you say what the cop did was reckless? Especially with how long he was on Floyd’s neck? I personally believe yes. A suspect died in their custody, meaning that they were responsible for keeping Floyd safe. Is the cop a murderer? I don’t believe so. Do I think he should get a fair trial? Yes. Do I think if the trial is fair that he will get anything more than manslaughter or negligence charge? No. But who knows. Jury is scared of rioters hurting their families. So they may throw the book and over charge this cop. Who knows.
    PS: I don’t think he should be allowed to be a cop, firefight or Paramedic due to his lack of awareness for Floyd’s well being.

    The officer used excessive force to subdue Floyd.
    Floyd died because he overdosed on illegal drugs and the knee on the neck is a tactical move taught by officers to protect themselves and the offender.
    Murder in this case for the officer is not justice. .
