Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill into law Monday. Critics say the bill could make LGBTQ students feel isolated and prevent them from getting support they need.

  2. Sexual anything should be like religion in the schools, forbidden. Both of these topics are for the home. Having an adult that is not a child's parents explain to a 5 to 9 year old about sex, especially homosexuality should be a sex crime, and they should be on the sex offenders list!!

    strangers who are totally engrossed with teaching other peoples children their sexuality. Growing up we were warned
    by our parents , teachers and the police to flee any adult who inappropriately and needlessly engaged you sexually.

Florida leftists are complaining that they must now walk on eggshells in terms of what they say in the classroom, but they have never had a problem making students walk on eggshells when it comes to what they are allowed to disagree with in the classroom.

  21. I've worked with kids as a assistant teacher. Children often say stuff like "why does so and so have 2 dads" or they'll use words like "oh that's gay" or " you can't have 2 moms" they often comment on things that seem different from them or not so common.
    Usually I say:
    "Some families have two dads or two moms. I know it's different but that's ok"
    "That's not nice that's not how we use that word."

    They are so curious they always ask what words mean. I had 2 separate occasions where the child asks what Gay means I then tell them about the different families.
    Kids have such a strong curiosity and can become so kind and understanding if you show them at a young age. My experience has been that the younger you teach kids about the different types of families there's so much less bullying if anything in the last 10 years I've noticed way less bullying because of this. I had a child bring me to tears defending another child from a "ADULT" ( a person in their 60s)
    But I don't live in Florida 🤢 so kids might probably be a bit more nasty about "differences between friends" there

    I'm thinking if you don't want kids to be exposed or ask about different types of families. Then maybe home schooling is better because they'll come across stuff like this at some point so explain!! talk to your kids before someone else has to talk to them for you. A teacher would never make this a part of her lesson plan 🤣🤣 but yeah the questions do come up from these kids and you often wonder why parents dont just talk to their kids so no one else has to. And when u talk to them be kind about it please 🙏 we do not need more bullying in schools. Also these politicians know it's hot topic right now so they are using this to distract you. Just sayin. To make you vote for them because of a "culture war" /non issue. This so unimportant and was never a problem to begin with. but he has your vote for sure

No teacher needs to be talking about their personal life in the first place, they are there to teach… Let alone teachers for younger classes… I moved around a lot when i was younger, so I went to many different schools. I had a lot of different teachers, never once did any of them try to talk about their marriage or personal life. They were there to teach and its what they did. Stuff like this is why America is becoming lower and lower on the educational rank in the world. We just keep dropping and dropping because we aren't focusing on teaching our children what they actually need to learn. We are instead teaching this foolishness.
