The National Institute of Health Allergy and Disease agency, NIHAID, needs an overhaul and deworming, beginning with Dr. Fauci and Dr. Collins for the biosecurity and biosafety of the human population. Yes bioweapon research is not new. For 37 years this man Dr. Fauci funded research programs from taxpayers money funneled into this agency. In 2012, research funded by him resulted in creating an airborne virus and a hue and cry necessitated President Obama to issue a moratorium, to stop such gain-of-function, GOF, research. Senator Rand, did Dr. Fauci stop or did he ignore the Obama moratorium?

When Pres. Trump came to office, Dr. Fauci sought to work- around the moratorium. Without going to any senior WH official, slyly he established strict biosecurity and biosafety measures to be reported in such research endeavors, supported by Dr. Collins assurances of full responsibility. Senator Rand how is this preventable? How is a bureaucrat who is not held responsible to the public create an overreach by a work-around of a Presidential moratorium? This situation is of upmost concern proven by the very consequences we are living with today. Dr Collins e=mail is evident that he understood to hide his involvement and colluded with Dr. Fauci as you described.
However Dr. Fauci seems unaffected by all that he's done. The man is drunk with delusion. The denial of a lab leak where you have the Program officer Chen Ping raising concerns about the safety of the lab had been ignored. When an FOIA request for those reports on implemented biosafety and biosecurity reveal one line answers showing no real reporting had been done. The man and agency responsible needs reprisal. The consequences of rogue behavior starting with the attack on former CDC virologist, the FDA members leaving, the doctors and alternative therapies scorned and censored, the people losing their health or their jobs or their lives or their loved ones, the divisiveness and legal battles of human rights, the ripples go on and on. There's no retribution or reparations for all the harm but we need to set the record straight and stop the insults. This abuse is stifling.
