That was a TOTAL DIASTER.. Police clearly had a hostage situation with innocents every where. NEGOTIATOR TIME? What happen when pack mentality or people takes over?
Idiot cops in a rush for judgement and to use their weapons , recklessly and carelessly caused the death of two innocent civilians in a haste to make a collar , everyone of those idiots that fired their weapons need to be fired , innocent civilians in a busy highway and they are too macho to let the S.W.A.T team or hostage negotiater handle the situation

Intent follows the bullet , officers who fire at suspects with innocent people in the background need to be held responsible for what their bullets strike . If I had fired my gun and hit someone in the background you can bet I would be facing murder or manslaughter charges . So should they , as law enforcement, they should be held to a higher standard than I would be . Instead they are not held to any dtandard most of the time with this immunity they given to having charges filed against them . Talk about a total disregard for the people of this country that is shown by this practice.

In no way am I defending the police for this situation, but what if, lets say the police DID back off, and then the UPS criminals started taking hostages? Then we would be scolding them for NOT doing anything in that case. Ultimately, they handled this situation horribly, especially with line of sight, but when I think of 'what ifs' like this one, it makes it tough to have a definitive solution for certain circumstances. But yes, this was still horrible decision-making by police. I blame a lot on the organizational protocol of pursuing criminals; many different agencies are liberal in pursuing calls, so you have way too many agencies chasing the same criminals and it causes disorder. They need to change the pursuing protocol somehow to be more structured and organized in situations like this so you don't have 100+ cops following one truck which makes police commands and decisions hard to regulate while also endangering traffic and innocents. For ll we know, some of the cops probably didnt even get word on radio that they had a hostage in the truck. its idiotic. everything
