  1. Eviction is a tool for story writers to lead into another event. It obviously wouldn't work in real life. They would freeze to death in about 2 hours in winter! And where would they live if you tried this in reality?

  2. If the air we breathe was a commodity to buy and sell, would anyone wonder if a seller's right to profit was more important than a person's right to breathe?
As the catastrophe of capitalism reaches its terrifying climax many many more of us will suffer unbearably.

  3. I have a tenant who hasnt paid me for around 10 months and caused around $3,000 dollars in damage using the covid anti-eviction law to cover herself. The funny part is she dont have money to pay rent but is loading face look status like bough a new car, $700 dollars dog, ipads, iwatch, etc…. ,going parties all around etc…… But the homeowners are the bad guys. If you want something go work for it. Do not pretend to take from somebody.

  4. There are folks who bought new trucks and other toys while not paying 1 penny of their rent. Is that a great idea though? How to steal, lie and cheat while govt authorizes such things to take place. The finest crooks in the business are crooked politicians. Landlords were punished since april 2020.

  5. im black and the news uses videos and images of my people mostly with kids or elderly facing eviction to try and pull at your heart strings. these pepole say they lost jobs due to the virus and businesses shutting down but when all the help wanted signs were visible people decided to not take the jobs claiming it was because of not wanting to get the virus but you see them shopping at the malls, partying and buying new vehicles. im wondering why is no one is asking these people how much money they have received from federal government and unempolyment and what they did with that money. how long did these people think this fake money was going to keep coming and how long did they think the unemployment/extra 300 in unemployment was going to last. the news reporters are a failure during these reports due to not asking what they received and why rent was not paid with the money. how could it be that so many people all made the same horrible decision on not paying rent. lololol i dont feel sorry for them. i feel sorry for elderly that cant work and high functioning special needs individuals who live independently. the able body have messed not only themselves up theyve messed up elderly and developmentally disabiled too. stop the sob stories

  6. it will never be enough for people being lazy. how much do you want to contribute to people who are abusing the system? there are jobs everywhere. the american system of free handouts to "people in need" is increasing. stop giving money to these people!!! you are just making them more dependant on the government and making them more lazy!!!

  7. We MUST STOP looking at the federal government as a financial cure for every woe. When they fund something, it's our tax money and not theirs. The government has no money. People have developed a misconception that the government is some entity that can produce money out of thin air.. this moratorium it's just another form of welfare.

  8. Tenants can avoid eviction if they go fill the hundreds of thousands of jobs available out there. For what I see, everyone is hiring.

  9. Oh dear. Those poor rich people. My heart bleeds for them – and they don't even get the satisfaction of throwing poor people onto the street. Must be so frustrating.

  10. This country is a DISGRACE.. Just look at our statue of liberty. It's not supposed to look that color. They never cared for it.

  11. The eviction moratorium makes lazy people become lazier and irresponsible. This unfair law enforcement should be ended a long time ago.

  12. This will be a big boost to employers who offer part time, minimum wage, no healthcare, no benefit jobs.
But rest assured the prime stockholders will thrive.

  13. Remember, this is "eviction". It's not just about tenements in the big cities. It's also about homeowners unable to make full mortgage payments in small town USA. It's also about small farmers who come up short. Many people doing all they can will still lose a home and be evocted. Be careful about stereotyping EVERYONE as deadbeats. How many paychecks away from eviction are some of these judgemental 'well off'?

  14. It's about time someone is taking control! This administration is damaging our country beyond belief! We have a long four years ahead of us…hopefully GOP will gain House and Senate next year and get rid of them!

  15. BTW, can someone explain how moratorium stops the virus? The moratorium did not stop the new strain. Cheap excuse to redistribute hard earned property to lazy liars.

  16. My 90 year old mom lost a years rent from one and 6 months from her second property so She could not afford assisted living. Both renters had jobs. Eviction lawyers were also paid over 9,000. Steal from worker types to support lazy people.

  17. America is one big rip off scam. Thanks to Obama Biden stealing all our homes and then bailing out the banks after they gave them the homes anyway! Now they are stealing everyone’s apartment because THEY shut down the economy and screwed up assistance! Democrats have been the BIGGEST money makers for 13 years running AT OUR EXPENSE! THEY HAVE SUCCEEDED IN TAKING EVERYTHING FROM US.

  18. Most of the governors are talking about what to do with the “extra” stimulus money. What extra? You can end the problem today!!! Pay the landlords!!!!! Most will settle for a percentage. This is government theft of our property.

  19. Sucks for people who have paid rent the whole time too knowing people who havent paid will soon get it waived from the government. Who wouldnt want a free years rent?
