  1. What if he would have shot him with the tazer disabling him then taking his gun? What then chief? The man was a pos on parole for beating his wife and kids .

  2. OFFICERS ARE ONLY QUITING BECAUSE THEY CAN'T HANDLE WHAT THEY PUT OUT.

The charges might even be wrong but everyone has to go through the courts due process just like civilian's. We have to whether we are guilty or not, no matter how long the process and they should too.

  3. I’m black and I do support blm/alm but this case is kinda dumb, they were doing their jobs and now being prosecuted for it. while his death was not completely justified he did resist arrest, punch a cop, and attempt to fire a weapon at them.

  4. All this killing could have been resolved. Simple just don't resist stupid ass would have been alive if he did try in run.i feel bad for the cop because the cop was just doing his job.

  5. Re-reviewing this over, let me explain why these men are being charged:

First, it is not irrelevant to the Officer's gentle and respectful approach in the initial encounter with Mr. Brooks. However, after Mr. Brook complied well with the Officer's instructions and did everything he told him to prior to the violent breakdown between them, what was the purpose of the Officer to continue to get out of his car and further disturb Mr. Brooks' sleep after being commanded to do so?

The Officer settled the situation and could have sat for a bit longer just to make sure he didn't awaken and start driving in his condition. If that had occurred, no need to arrest him, just stop him, take his keys and have him call family to pick him up and take him home. Failing family, simple urber or olice escort to get him safely home. Barring that, a motel to get him well rested and urged.

Since none of these occurred, Mr. Brooks was fine where he was which was sleeping off any intoxication if that is what it was.

The Officer further antagonized the citizen by not once, but twice getting out of his car and constantly disrupting the needed sleep he so kindly gave over to Mr. Brooks.

Now once you've awaken your kid, they aren't happy so you put them to bed; disrupting anymore of their sleep and you will have crying a lot against you. And not just crying, but that " Why are you being mean to me?" type crying.

Now do that to grown man, and at some point his adrenalin is going to kick in be a use he's now angry. I personally believe that is what the Officer was pursuing.

Mr. Brooks further antagonized the situation by running and then shooting the taser at the Officer. But with so many black men who are unarmed and not in a criminal element of action, I can't blame him for being terrified that he would die.

    And yet…

  6. Officers should be trained better. their first instinct to combat a non lethal attack should not be to pull out a fatal weapon. It’s like saying someone threw a punch at you in a bar and their life needs to end because of that one dumb act.

  7. As an outside observer to the us this stuff baffles me. How do you charge a cop for justly doing his job. What if the taser he took made contact. Now you have access to the cops gun and from there if you’re gonna taze a cop then you’re gonna shoot a cop. And others maybe

  8. You guys realize Felony Murder means a murder that takes place while you are committing a felony. I didn't realize that arresting a black out drunk man in his car for DUI was a felony. Odd.
