Military bases are gun free zones. When the shooting starts on base, you better hide. ABC just falsely reported that the shooter wasn't subject to search because even though he owned a gun he had special status. The gate guards randomly search vehicles with the drug dogs and look for weapons and contraband and don't check to see who is in the car first.
