Department of Health Releases Guidance for Families Affected by Shortage
TRENTON – With New Jersey families facing difficulties obtaining baby formula due to the ongoing national shortage, Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 296 today declaring a State of Emergency in order to activate State price gouging laws, consistent with President Biden's actions at the federal level.

Abbott Nutrition has been a bad actor, produced a contaminated product," she said. "They had a whistleblower's report that went to the FDA in October. (The whistleblower) was not interviewed until December and then the recall happened in February."
And the appropriations committee will also hold two hearings related to the shortages, including one next week with Califf on the FDA's 2023 budget request and oversight of infant formula.
The committee's chairwoman, Connecticut Democratic Rep. Rosa DeLauro, told CNN she believes the FDA "dragged their feet" in addressing problems with Abbott Nutrition but that she doesn't blame the Biden administration for the shortage.

buy Nestlé Nido powder fortified milk and if you are worried about the iron buy at Walgreens CVS or Walmart Enfamil Pol-vi-sol iron liquid supplement for the little ones. Also Aldi grocery stores have formula too. I've been buying formula at my local Aldi for my 10 month old.
Why did they let it get this bad before doing anything… We knew about this for months, and proceeded to do nothing.
