Several states bypassed their legislatures and had friendly judges amend voting laws (which was unconstitutional) and removed all trust in the voting process. Folks feel like they have lost their country. The courts could have added closure to this but decided to stand down. 18. In the riots we had last year, every time a protestor was injured or 'assaulted' it made the crowd angrier and they would push back against the police. I guess here they assumed that if they stayed neutral they wouldn't have that, but they were wrong. I see lots of people saying how this would have been different if it were a BLM protest, and to a slight extent, I concur as it seems like proper counter measures were not introduced early on like many other BLM riots. However, you see in numerous coverage videos armored trucks, shields, helmets, tear gas, etc is now being used against these protestors in a similar way to how they were used against BLM protestors. Someone was even shot and curfews are being put into effect. Seems like summer of 2020 all over again.
