I've heard how hard her life has been. Having to live in homeless shelters. Let me tell you how difficult my life has been. I too live way below the poverty line. I too had nothing. In fact, I took a job that I had virtually no training in, I ended up falling 50 feet to the ground, it paralyzed me from my chest down. The rehab was very difficult. Here's the catch: I had no way of paying for the medical bills, which are in the thousands. Yet doctors and everyone involved helped to save my life. They didn't think about my financial situation or able or not to pay for it. They saved my life. Not only that, they pushed me everyday because I was too weak to push myself. At first, it was rough going getting Workers Com going and Social Security. And btw, my medical bills were paid in full. And I began to get money to be able to take care of myself. What other countries do this? Most would have left me to die. I live in my own apartment, and I take care of myself now. It's been over 20 years since my injury. Do I have my difficult days? Of course. But if you think I would ever betray a country that helped me so much and gave me life, you have to be out of your mind. As for Islam, I'm not going to do like many and say it's bad. Muhammad Ali, Dave Chappell, and others practice Islam and didn't cause any harm to others. In fact, they moved away from militant Islam just as Malcolm X did. Malcolm lost his life over it. Many, to include Christianity has been used in negative ways that have hurt and even murdered people. Jim Jones is one who infamous. Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, and of course, Catholic Priests who has sexually abused others for decades and was swept under the rug.
As for Monica Witt, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. She too was helped by this country, and she betrayed the very country who helped give her a career from poverty in the first place. They paid for her education. Gave her the opportunity for a good middle class lifestyle. Being a Muslim is not what convicts her. Stabbing those in the back who picked her up from nothing and gave her a life. I hope she understands what women are in Iran's version of Islam. Women are second class citizens. Years from now she'll realize that the freedom she had she no longer has,,,
