  1. PEOPLE ARE MISSING THE FACT THAT SHE OVER RID THE SYSTEM… I'M SURE THE ONES PROTESTING ARE GUILTY OF OVER RIDING THE SYSTEM TOO.

  2. The whole healthcare system nationwide is a ridiculously overpriced farce that offers little concern and treatment for patients, most especially the poor patients. The penalties for these events need to be stiff, otherwise it will keep happening. That's the sad reality because very few healthcare workers actually care about the patients. As far as working a ridiculous 12 hr shift, and without using the bathroom, they should go on strike or quit. Long as they're willing to be taken advantage of like that they will be taken advantage of like that.

  3. JAIL… AND DEATH ARE VERY DIFFERENT THINGS…. YOU CAN COME BACK FROM JAIL BUT YOU DIE AND THATS IT… THEIR JOBS ARE NOT A JOKE…THERE IS NO ROOM FOR MISTAKES…. YOU HAVE TO BE A VIGILANT AT ALL TIMES… SLIPPERY SLOPE HERE…

  4. Who was the da who decided to file these charges and what was the motivation? And what jury would convict? Loss of job? Yes. Loss of license? Sure. Criminal charges and conviction?? Insane.

  5. Prayer for Salvation of Others🛐
Heavenly Father, I thank you that it is Your will for "all men to be saved and to come into the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim 2:4). I also thank you that you are long suffering to us-ward not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance" ( 2 Peter 3:9). I bind and tie up Satan and all evil spirits in man (Put a name here if for specific individual) in the name of Jesus (Mt 16:19; Mt 12:29).

I loose and untie Satan's blinders which have " blinded the minds of them which do not believe" and I command the light of the glorious gospel of Christ to shine into to them to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Cor 4:4,6; Isaiah 45:12). I thank You as I am praying with strong desire out of urgent need that you send forth laborers into Your harvest (Mt 9:38) to preach the gospel (Rom 10:13-15).

I thank you that "the entrance of Your word gives light bringing understanding to those hearing the gospel (Psalm 119:130). I thank you that the Holy Spirit is convicting them "of the sin of not believing on Jesus as Lord and Savior" (John 16:19). I thank you for sending angels to continually minister to them and bring laborers across their path continually until they receive Jesus as Lord and be born again. ( Mt 26:53; Heb 1:14) I thank you for the Salvation of the multitudes and the great harvest of souls that are being born again these last days, in Jesus name, Amen

  6. I totally understand that nursers are overworked and mistakes happen. As someone who doesn't know anything about the health industry I can just comment as a civilian. My father was prescribed high blood pressure medication for years. Come to find out he never had high blood pressure it was kidney cancer and the symptoms got mistaken. They high blood pressure ultimately ended up killing him. I blame the doctor for not caring not doing his job. At what line do we draw that its human mistake vs negligence? I don't know about what they go through or their systems but I don't trust them because I don't feel they care. Im coming to you at my time of need, and im scared that their gonna make a mistake and kill me? no. I the system needs to change. I don't blame them I blame the system for overworking them but as well they need to be help accountable. No arguing just stating my side.

  7. a nurse killed someone by being negligent.. she deserved everything she got and more, I had nurses screw up on me 3 times.. they need to own their mistakes and correct the behavior to prevent re occurrences

  8. If only doctors whom had made mistakes that ended in fatalities for other patients would be charged and convicted as well. Oh wait! Shits rolls downhill. They can’t be touched.

  9. I'm a truck driver. If I am negligent behind-the-wheel and I caused an accident life of one of your loved one. You would all want to see me in jail, because my job duties require me to operate a deadly machine and I have an obligation to be vigilant in my duties throughout my work day, and the same applies to a nurse. Their job requires them to hold people's lives in their hands; so if that means you need to double check and triple check that filed before you inject someone then so be it. And if you don't you should pay the consequences!

  10. Cops: enters the house they’re not supposed to be in and shoot someone
Cops: lean on someone’s trachea until they die

justice system: oh you made a mistake pats on head

nurse: gives a patient a wrong medication and is honest about it
    Justice system: GUILTY!!!

  11. The medicine retrieval system is a huge problem. This sets up other nurses to be given wrong medication. It could happen to anyone. The only acceptable solution is to type in the spelling of the entire drug— not just 2 letters.
ICU trained neurology nurses are hard to come by. A medication error caused a criminal conviction of t this nurse— who would want to be a nurse considering what just happened here. It was a tragic medication error.

  12. Health care system for health care professionals is very cruel and i blame the system its not just nurses who makes these mistakes but also doctors because both professions are extremely demanding both mentally and physically

  13. My condolences to the family who lost their loved one. How devastating. This nurse clearly shows remorse and my prayers that she finds peace.

  14. I work in healthcare. We are extremely understaffed and exhausted. Mistakes happen, even more now. Healthcare heroes to healthcare zeros. I feel bad for both sides in this situation.

  15. If you’re gonna mess up and kill someone on the job become a cop not a nurse. She should’ve gone to prison

  16. Nurses are overworked & the hospitals are not taking their responsibility. There are caring nurses and there are some that are only there for a paycheck. I feel sorry for this nurse.

  17. And people wonder why nurses are quitting and there is a critical shortage of nurses. She made a horrible mistake but where is the hospital accountability too!

  18. She has to be held accountable. I'm sure it wasn't malicious, but man you got to triple check the meds you give. I'm a paramedic and I always check the 6 Rs and have my partner check. Right patient, right route, right medicine, right dose, right time, right documentation. She should've definitely gotten her license revoked. Condolences to the family of the patient.

  19. Am I the only one that feels like it's just? Like regardless if it was an accident, if several negligences were made that day that was the sole responsibility for someone dying….that person has to be held responsible.

  20. If I could go back in time I would have been a plumber or electrician. Nursing has become mentally exhausting and a cover you a## game. We are always the scapegoats for our mangers,DON and the facility. We always get thrown to the wolves so they can save face.

  21. There was a lawsuit at sunrise childrens hospital in Las Vegas when I worked there. It was a faulty umbilical catheter. The 2 nurses were charged with murder. Only during trial did it come out that these nurses had reported these catheters multiple times and it fell on deaf ears of management. Fortunately, they were both exonerated. They successfully sued the hospital as they should.

  22. She over road so many levels of safety that it is just absolutely lack of care or concern for her patients. She is acting like she really cared but there is no way she did.

  23. This is fine and all but they were about to put the truck driver in Colorado away for life and he did get 10 years jail time. So why is she getting only probation? In both cases, the workplaces were also negligent as was this nurse and the truck driver to a degree .. in fact the truck driver was a 23 yr old rookie and this nurse was licensed and had two years of experience at the time of the incident. I am not saying she should serve ten years but I am saying there are double standards..

  24. She should have reported the issues with the hospital to state board of medicine. Her knowing and not reporting the issues with the hospital makes her guilty. I ask to see the medication that is going to be given me before they give it to me. If I do not know why the doctor order the medication I want to speak to him before the nurse gives it to me. I do not trust any nurse or doctor since I am one who is left with scars and live in pain everyday from a doctor messing up a surgery.

  25. The part about it being more difficult to own up to honest mistakes but they tried to brush Charlene's death under the carpet!
Two Vanderbilt neurologists provided false information about Murphey's death, saying she died naturally from a brain injury, according to the Davidson County Medical Examiner.

Vanderbilt did not report the fatal error to The Joint Commission, an independent organization that accredits the hospital, said a commission spokeswoman. Joint Commission policy strongly encourages but does not require hospitals to report fatal medical errors.

Vanderbilt officials "failed to report this incident" to the Tennessee Department of Health even though state law requires the hospital to do so, according to a federal investigation report.

The report also found that Vanderbilt staff did not document the medication mix-up in Murphey’s medical records, then subsequently provided different explanations for the omission.
So clearly hospitals are already covering up their crimes and they need to be held accountable.

  26. It doesn't matter that she didnt mean to do it. The fact is she killed someone through negligence.
I wonder how the victim's family us feeling about watching this.

  27. She should went to prison period u are in charged of someone life !!!! Iam sure u have to be able to read to be a nurse !!!!! What u was charged with was nothing you should have been charged with MURDER

  28. I’m a Pharmacy Technology professor I teach everyone to read the medication label three times. If everyone who had their hands on that vial would have read the label three times this wouldn’t have happened.
