A mandatory balanced budget? No wonder Feingold and others like him are so against a Constitutional Convention. If there's one thing that would scare legislative lawmakers more than being told they can't serve indefinitely, vote to raise their own salaries and benefits, or bicker and filibuster along partisan lines and hold our federal budget hostage every fiscal year, it's realizing that the People and the States have a Constitutionally-legal vehicle for bypassing Congressional paralysis altogether, and they will be powerless to stop it.

In fact when you hear someone refered to as a "constituionalist" 9/10 times they are republican, the other 1/10 times are independent. So republicans wouldnt even look at changing the constituion as a solutions in the 1st place bc libs seem to follow it less and less every year anyway, Any amendment made to the constituions would be "re-interpreted" by the next RGB as something opposite of its purpose anyway. But they want people who dont have hours a day to devote to the media and history to accept the title at face value and then go vote against it this next election. And then they can recaieve all there poolitical kick backs for manipulating people into voting in a way that favors there business.
