10. A good insurance company would have had an inspection done on this property for and made a recommendation for a co2 detector. I look for this hazard at just about every hotel pool I look at. Especially indoor pools!

    They literally say they in this that carbon monoxide is a silent killer with no irritation problem.

12. That 13 year old boy who lost his life due to poor conditions in a hotel pool was from my town. So unfortunate. Hold these places accountable!

13. I always bring my own portable carbon monoxide detector with me when I stay at hotels. Ever since that young boy died at a hotel stay with his poor mom . RIP.

18. I’ve been a pool technician for years. I also work on pool heaters almost every other day. This is bizarre. I have never heard of anything like this. The only way I can see something happening is if the heater is indoors, and the ventilation for the heater exhaust got clogged. That’s the only thing I can think of. Very sad story.

19. Hotel are required to have smoke detectors, why not carbon monoxide detectors?
