14. Funny how when a student with a knife stabbing someone gets shot, the media still blames guns and calls it a “school shooting” instead of a “school stabbing” and blames guns again. The kid was the instigator by attacking the officer.

15. There are good and bad things about the media. The bad thing is the media creates a lot of attention that enables copy cats. We have a deep rooted problem in society, bullying and ostracizing of children, which leads to mental issues in the youth, and later life- adults.

    There is a mental health crisis, and the media has been responsible for leading the people into believing its a gun or knife crisis.
    I know what its like to have been a victim in school. I almost hung myself in my bedroom closet around 14 years of age. When I was in the 7th and 8th grade, a group of children constantly picked on me. I was undeveloped for my age group, the smallest child for my grade level, and held back a year. I aged very slowly, and when I was around 24, I met a teacher that said I looked like a 14 year old. Its been a life challenge, but my memory is intact with painful experiences, from name calling, to having a child spit in my mouth. It was bad enough to be bullied at home, its worse moving and changing schools and not learning to fit in, walking alone among children for most of my school days, with children sheltered with their long time group of friends, and neighbors.

    The schools have failed to change the recipe of child development to this day. There is the least amount of social activities to bond newcomers, shy individuals, and children, for whatever reason, who end up alone. Social Development has to start at a young age, and continue throughout the years of adolescence. Sports is not enough, but its necessary. Coaching a group of children to work together, inside class or outside on a field is the most necessary thing for civil society to properly function, whether its at work with colleagues, home with family, on the streets walking or in your car driving down the freeway, in how to act civilly, with the most respect.

    I don't want to read about children who get abused, or are abusers, road rage, elderly who get slammed in the face by a young persons fist for no good reason. I am tired of reading about our societies shame, and the continual blame game of race, of societal disposition and status, and the insolvency of blaming the last generation of dysfunctional parents who are often, the wreckage of our broken society.
    Our media grasps all the bad attention of the symptoms of society, and excuses their self from enough attention to solving the problems. One solution that would be good to report, and highlight in the news. which should be required in a civil society- Social Development- Children need to learn how to get along with each other, so they are less likely to have mental disorders as a child or as an adult.

Internet education removes the violence that is found in a school setting also eliminating distractions found in classroom settings. You also save homeowners revenue from excessive school millages The revenue saved in school millages could provide a good quality computer for each student and the community would still have extra revenue left over by doing away with expensive school buildings People now do much shopping on the internet because they fear the violence that occurs at shopping malls and Dept stores and don’t have to deal with pick pockets and credit card scammers. Many malls have gone out of business and the stores lie vacant due to internet shopping
