Why I have to pay for this??? I don't want my tax money spent on something I did not participate 200 years ago and did not benefit from it. Get the money from those slaver owners. Not our tax money.

if it were to be done, how are minority slave owner descendants accounted for, and also what about those of mixed race? How are percentages accounted for. Also who is paying for this? If its coming out of Newsom's personal pocket, then go right ahead and throw money around. Since it will not be his personal money, why do the taxpayers, who have nothing to do with this problem, need to pay for this at all??? Mid-terms are coming so… I guess…
I love that this is happening. Just wait until they find out that this grift solves nothing. I'm very happy that I don't live anywhere near Cali. I live in the south, where blacks do everything everybody does to get by and they're happy about it. They know they're as American as I am and that you don't get anything but walked on around here if you hold your hand out, just like everybody else. We're equal here, save for a handful of idiots per square mile. But we know just as well as California should that you can't get rid of those people. You just have to keep them down. Why does this argument start at the shores of which you landed on, why not tell Africa they owe you reparations…..why?
Because Africans trapped and sold your ancestors to the European and Spanish colonial governments. African tribes warred and sold captives to slave traders, if you want to punish those responsible for your perceived oppression, start at the begging where it all started not at the end.
Let's not forget the other slaves during that time like the Irish, Chinese, Italians, Mexicans and all the other non-colonial American White man slaves. Black was not the only color that marked a slave, but the school system isn't designed to teach you anything useful from the past like your "people" where not the only slaves in America or fought during the Civil War for their freedoms. So did the rest of the slave population as mentioned about.
Go tell Africa they owe your family reparations for your perceived oppression that's where it all started.

This makes no sense then again California never does, California continues to be a sanctuary for pan handlers and criminals. Yay! Free money! There are ways California can provide reparations without affecting tax payers by means of tax deductions. Or by using a W2 withholding for that. Anyone who lives in California knows they are overtaxing us as a whole anyway. I almost never get back anything from State. Let’s be real, if they forced this to be lineage based, most blacks would NOT participate because we don’t trust the government tracking us, would not want to pay for ancestry tracing and in general would not even know this was happening.

For 9 out of 10 blacks this task force, that will lead to nothing, is all the Democrat's need to do to keep these folks voting for them.
I did a DNA test and I found out I am 6% black. Do I get 6 cents on the dollar? I can prove my ancestors came from Germany in the 1890's long after Lincoln freed the slaves. So the way I figure it, I don't owe anything and I will get my 6 cents on the dollar.
So, does this mean we can deport these black Americans BACK TO AFRICA, after we’ve paid them Reparations??? There show be a task force instituted to study and formulate a strategy for this as well.
