1. First: get the facts straight!!
   The Republican votes did NOT change the result. It was going to pass anyway!
   8 Republicans voted to allow the bill to go for a vote. 13 voted to accept the Senate’s amendments. Then only 2 actually voted yes for passage.

   But recognize that the actual vote to proceed would have passed without a single Republican yes. And the vote to Accept the Senate Amendment would have passed without a single Republican yes.
   And the bill would have passed without a single Republican yes.
   Once our so-called centrist Dems in the Senate caved and they passed it out, it was going to pass in the House, no matter what the Republicans voted.
   PAY ATTENTION HERE: THE REPUBLICAN YES VOTES DID N O T CHANGE THE OUTCOME.
   Now, with the facts on the table, those Republicans absolutely deserve to be primaried at the next election. They gave the Dems political cover.
   It would have passed without the Republicans once it was allowed to go to a vote, but the Republican yes votes now allow the Dems to CALL it a bipartisan piece of legislation in all their interviews and talking points. Giving the Dems this kind of political cover was the real betrayal.
   Remember: this was a Democrat piece of legislation. It was NOT bipartisan. The Republicans that voted yes only voted that way so they could campaign on it. They got PORK in the bill for their constituents for re-election, and the Dem leadership was happy to give them their little bit of pork so the bill could be called “bipartisan”. Don’t let anyone fool you. This vote was the result of back room deals and politics as usual. The Republicans that voted yes in any part of the process have undermined all Republicans in the next election.
