Do the 3 question test when discerning a situation. Ask what is the intent? Where is my consent? And who is my authority.

You can't. Disinformation is a part of war. Both sides "poison the well" with great abandon. Now we have social media situation where many people — notably people in Hollywood, and people in the not-so-mainstream media have access to lots and lots of information, and very few scrupples. Such is their need for attention, they will say whatever their twisted little hearts desire, so long as it gets them attention. Now we have Walmart and Amazon sellng "Blog kits," to throngs of little attention-seekers sitting at home behind their laptops, and many just at their smartphones, one and all poisoning the airwaves with their "opinion-shown-as-so-called fact." YouTube and etc give one and all their opportunity to shine for 15 minutes in the Sun. Don't get me wrong. Perhaps 1 or 2% of them have something valid to say.

Use the power of discernment when disgesting information. Ask questions like what is the intention of this information? Question the motive. Listen your intuition and most importantly listen to your feelings. Do not ignore when your feelings tell you this doesnt feel right.
