  1. They should really build more resultant houses in Florida to better withstand the hurricanes. Mobile homes are not strong enough. Its not like a tornado where you should be safe with a storm cellar. And if you can't afford a sturdy house then you shouldn't live in the area. It's too dangerous. Just like up north houses have steeper roofs for snow. And in California they are built to be earthquake resistant. It should be added to the code for new buildings to be hurricane resistant. Nothing you can do about the storm surge but that wind can be built against. Would save lives not to allow cheap faulty construction

  2. "Surprised us every single day".. utter nonsense. models have shown since Dorian left the UVSI/PR a clear path, and intensity to cat3 and cat4. the only real shock was the parabolic strengthening into historic cat5 ferocity, and a nice surprise is this miraculous turn to the North, since jade it crossed into the Gulf of Mexico, it would have been at least cat4 and likely would have gone somewhere between Peridido Key to Appalachicola.

That said.. Dorian's path and relative danger have been a known quantity for many days now. Many of us have been tracking Dorian before it hit the Leeward island, and even then the Bahamian track and strengthening was predominant in the models.

Marciano is just so full of it, like most USA based news infotainment outlets. The only real surprise is why USA news outlets don't provide advisories further in advance, and then when its a fait accomplit, they hawk useless articles like this. Its sad.

  3. The news people keep saying that the hurricane is going to stay on the sea like a good little boy. Me who have already eaten through my hurricane food supply will not be surprised if this hurricane comes through Florida yelling " surprise "mother f***ers !"

  4. PUT CYCLE HELMETS ON KIDS AND PUT KIDS BETWEEN BED MATTRESSES AND DOOR FRAMES IF IN EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. PLEASE PASS THIS ADVISE ON TO OTHERS TO HELP SAVE LIVES!

  5. From my experience living a Hurricane Maria in PR with Category 5, it’s something that you don’t get over it so easy. We can only have faith and move to a safer place.

  6. Guys we been watching news companies get it wrong for years. This storm is not going north. If Y'all south east you need to leave. All those people are going to get stuck on the highways in a cat 5
