  1. Mark Meadows should comply and appear at the requested hearing, but then keeps on invoking and repeating his 5th Amendment Right (to not incriminate himself) like many others did before him throughout the history of this nation (like Howard Hughes famously did).

  2. "Let's tell everyone that the election was stolen, Mark, so that Republican states could send their electors to upend Biden.!" Even if the election was stolen, how could that Congressional Retrumplican have known about that 2 days later?

  3. Oh well, so much for the so called party of "law and  order."
    It was always a charade.

Trump and his supporters believe in law and order, right up until the moment when law and order comes for them.
In other words, it's law and order first YOU, but not for THEM.

    Cruelty is the point.

"It reflects a clear principle: Only Trump and his allies, his supporters, and their anointed are entitled to the rights and protections of the law, and if necessary, immunity from it. The rest of us are entitled only to cruelty, by their whim. This is how the powerful have ever kept the powerless divided and in their place, and enriched themselves in the process."

"It is not just that the perpetrators of this cruelty enjoy it; it is that they enjoy it with one another. Their shared laughter at the suffering of others is an adhesive that binds them to one another, and to Trump."

"Trump’s only true skill is the con; his only fundamental belief is that the United States is the birthright of straight, white, Christian men, and his only real, authentic pleasure is in cruelty. It is that cruelty, and the delight it brings them, that binds his most ardent supporters to him, in shared scorn for those they hate and fear: immigrants, blackVoters, feminists, and treasonous white men who empathize with any of those who would steal their birthright. Trump’s ability to execute that cruelty through word and deed makes them euphoric. It makes them feel good, it makes them feel proud, it makes them feel happy, it makes them feel united. And as long as he makes them feel that way, they will let him get away with anything, no matter what it costs them."

  5. Facebook admits its so-called “fact-checkers” are not really "fact-checkers" at all. They are actually cranking out opinions used to censor certain viewpoints, in response to a new lawsuit. Doesn’t that make it a publisher and not covered under Section 230 immunity?

  6. I'm gonna make up a fake commission and pretend I can arrest people. That should defer attention from how bad of a job I'm doing.

  7. Shout out to TRONALD DUMP on 12 mos anniversary of being EIGHTY SIXED by the USA 🇺🇸 it took some tough love but he did it 👍

  8. The Supreme Court has recognized Congress's power to issue subpoenas, saying in order to write laws it also needs to be able to investigate.

Congress' power to issue subpoenas, while broad, is not unlimited. The high court has said Congress is not a law enforcement agency, and cannot investigate someone purely to expose wrongdoing or damaging information about them for political gain. A subpoena must potentially further some "legitimate legislative purpose," the court has said.

Legislative purpose definition: Legislative means involving or relating to the process of making and passing laws
