The elected candidate had flaws that the voter did not know about, and the official would not have received those votes without telling the lie or concealing the truth. The election should be overturned in these instances also. The voter is directly harmed by the deceit of the elected official. How? The elected official enacts policies that effecting the voting public directly. Higher taxes that people can not afford. Loss of welfare the hungry people need. less medical care. If you raise the standard of the process the process includes the candidate. This is a matter of law that has not been enforced in the past without the changes that are being submitted to the local state and federal governments today.
