9. As an Englishman now an American, the difference in spelling and meaning of words is far deeper and more complex than I ever realised (sorry, realized). It's not only that. There are huge differences between racespeak ageslang, and even localchat. I cannot understand anything black american youngsters say. I think they like it that way, and as a multi linguist , I can learn it if I need to. Problem is when I return to England When I say the point is moot, the meaning is the opposite.
