This eliminated any not guilty by reason of insanity in the future. If he was fit and gives himself a pardon for the insurrection he did so knowing exactly what he was doing. This would be an intentional criminal act that he had planned. The Supreme Court should be able to deal with this.

Unfortunately, the 25th amendment IS NOT the quickest way to remove Trump. If he contests it, the issue goes to Congress. The Republicans in the Senate have made statements indicating that they would delay a trial to remove Trump following an impeachment. The same would likely apply to a convening of the Senate to override Trump's contesting of the application of the 25th amendment.
Legal temporary removal of Trump from office need not await the Senate under the 25th amendment or a removal post impeachment. The House has the jurisdiction to issue arrest warrants. The House can and has done so for contempt of Congress. Just as the police can arrest and detain, subject to judicial bail proceedings, when there is probable cause to believe that an offence has been committed or a charge has been laid, so too the House can issue a warrant for the arrest of Trump pending trial in the Senate once Trump has been impeached. The Chief Justice could release Trump on bail. However, I would argue that bail could and should be denied if he is, and he is, a danger to the Country.
