Plenty of women wanted to participate in this before any proposed changes, and plenty of women will want of participate after any changes. It's the fans and viewers which will decline with the changes and elimination of the swimsuit section. They basically shot themselves in the foot. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing gets cancelled now due to lack of interest from people who aren't participating in the contest.
It IS a beauty pageant after all, if you aren't showing off their beauty then fans will decline. Nobody wants to hear about how smart some bitch is, or what her goals and aspirations are. People who watch this want a pretty face, a nice body, and tits and arse.
