  1. CPS doesn't say a think about this, but as soon as a parent smokes a single solitary joint before bedtime they're in there taking away the kids and the whole nine yards

  2. God keeps me faithful and free from alcohol. I've never been drunk, and my first drink was my last. Largely due to the fact that I don't want to end up being an alcoholic like my family members and I want to please God with the way I live. However, people cannot stay free in their own strength. You NEED God's help to stay free from anything addictive. Christ puts us over.

  4. Also we teach our kids how to deal w/stress-pain-shame-trauma by how we deal with it. Gabor Mate: “Not why the addiction but why the pain.” If I could do it all over again, I’d heal my trauma-pain before I picked my partner (another traumatized child in adult body) then guess what we taught our kids? Now they’re spending their adult lives falling & picking bad people, drunk driving accidents, now they’re having cope w/their trauma of being adult children of alcoholics.

  5. In this age of equal rights, it seems women are insecure. They want to act like men … doesn't matter if the behavior is good or bad. Example – wine culture. Look girls lets get wasted while we watch our kids! We're like "Bad Moms" like totally hip and totally cool. Watch me get drunk … Girl Power!

  6. It has been 6 months since my last drink. I feel so much better and clear headed. Thank-you ABC for doing this story. I would rather be BLISSFUL than BUZZED!

  7. Funny thing is after women got the right to vote they voted in Prohibition. Fast forward a 100 years and now women in the West are falling down drunks. Its funny how things change.

  8. I don’t drink. My parents were alcoholics. When I was younger I didn’t realize that they were addicted. I thought it was normal to have an 18 pack a day. And two 4 packs on top of that for “lunch”. My neighbor would always watch me and she would say “oh your mom has already had her liquid lunch so she’ll be fine”. My sister and I don’t drink. We do fear alcohol.

  9. Good on her for being so honest! 👏🏼 I hardly ever drink and that is pretty much socially unacceptable in Australia. Always being asked why…am I pregnant or is it just a once off!! People cant believe it is just my choice.

  10. A couple of girlfriend have taken to working for Scout and Cellar, and it’s very off putting to me how easily they joke about needing wine everyday to deal with their day to day moments. I don’t say anything…because maybe I’m just putting my issues on them…but yeah, I wonder. Mommy drinking culture will definitely leave at least a few women struggling. I don’t get it.

  11. Wells that's no surprise, If u pay close attention to people's "passion or favorite pass time" their consistent online presence is about frequenting different wineries, bar hopping, memes about needing wine instead of sleep. Some people even find ways to employ their passion/bad habit as their paid gig or hobby, as entrepreneurs. It's no secret, a new "business front or venture" has always been a clever way of disguising unethical behavior and/or illegal practices. Sooner or later, a small business crashes or right before hires an "assistant" and larger corporations realize successful businesses run smoother with sober staff with sound minds.
