  1. The segment focuses on the economics but ignores the importance of water to human life. Farms will still get water as people are forced to ration.
Tribes have been stewards since time immemorial. They are the experts in sustainability. It's time to listen.

  3. Stop building more and more subdivisions. It’s a desert! I was considering moving to Arizona but thought to myself what about the water supply. Well I’m glad I didn’t move there.

  4. The government cares more about that $1.4 Trillion than they do native Americans. They’re pleading with a system that’s failed them many times over.

  5. ABC News where is the Native American tribes you claim plea for help? Love the very short report you clowns did on the first settlers. Too many people are trying to pull water from the desert so it's not our problem. They are taking every natural resource this planet can provide then claim a disaster when it fails. Now they are looking at other planets to destroy. What i would give to hit the reset button!

  6. Dang, what else do these Native Americans want now…We are changing the names of sports teams, restaurants etcetera that having anything to do with Indians/Native Americans.
Just joking, our government has fucked over these people over 100 times over many centuries. Now most are very poverty-stricken, drug addicts, alcoholics etc.
Remember, our government is christian religious based. Believing in magic religion will confuse people. 😕

  7. 40 years?!?! Seems about right. All these things that they have been talking about, I've been hearing this since the 80s when I was a kid. And seems to be an even bigger problem now. And they would say these issues would be my generation's problems. I guess it's everyone's problem, a lot of you older folks are living longer. Now, I was a kid back then. What's your excuse? Oh yeah, human greed. Now I'm older, I see it more and more.

  8. Bull – the friggen tribes have leased land and associated water rights to middle eastern countries. The Arab countries grow and ship alfalfa and hay back to their own countries to feed their livestock. Think on that for a second – its cheaper for them to grow GRASS and load it on a boat than it is to grow it in their own deserts. Why is that? Not hard to figure.

  9. I don’t understand why these farmers ever thought that growing stuff in a dry and hot location with the ongoing possibility of NO MORE WATER, was such an intelligent idea? If they’re such expert farmers, they never would’ve planted there in the first place. But this was a long time coming and they can’t say they weren’t warned. In the last 40 years they heard all the climate scientists predictions and how did they respond to it, by staying. Well they didn’t just screw themselves, but the whole damn country. The Government should cut them off, because they’ve been sucking up subsidies for decades while food prices kept going up and up and up. So how were they ever a benefit to America. It’s better to buy local and leave the big guys the hell out of it. Anything that can be grown in the desert, can be grown easily someplace else.

  10. THOUSANDS OF ACRES OF DRY MOUNTAIN, THATS THE PROBLEM AND THERE
IS THE SOLUTION, PLANT INDIGENOUS SHRUBS AND CACTUS ON THOSE MOUNTAIN HILLS
SO THAT IT CAN PRODUCE MORNING DEW AND CLOUDS SO THAT THEY HAVE MOISTURE FOR ALL THE VEGETATION NEEDED FOR THE FARMS. THOSE DRY MOUNTAINS NEED PLANTS.

  11. The dude is a multimillionaire. Get over it, take the loss IF it happens, like the rest of us average Americans do. Hell, for that matter, liquidate and retire with more than 75% of Americans who work just to struggle to get slightly ahead. He isnt just growing cotton, he grows grains, alfalfa etc and last I read, he is trying to get into the weed industry. The fact that this guy is complaining is almost comical. You're a business owner in the desert; If you didn't have a contingency plan for water being a problem, you are an idiot.

  12. BS I just saw the river yesterday in Blythe CA and it was running more than usual. Besides according to the Guadalupe treaty the flow or rivers was not to be stopped by neither the US or Mexico. The Colorado river, gila river, and Rio bravo del Norte all damned in violation of the agreed treaty. It's despicable

  13. I remember for years scientists screaming at politicians and the public about climate change and being told it doesn't exist. Now these same politicians and countries and deniers suddenly want action!?!?! I have the feeling that it's a little too late now 😒🤔

  14. Shut off the Las Vegas golf courses fountains in Arizona golf courses all farmer's need to drip and vertical grow
THE CALIFORNIA TOWNS ON THE OCEAN NEED TO BUILD MORE SALT REMOVING FACILITIES THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO BUILD THEM NOW

  15. California is to blame we can't have massive cities in the middle of the desert we can't have massive farms in Southern California producing our food

  16. There’s exactly the same amount of water 💦 on this planet 🌎 today as there was a million years ago that’s fact. Climate change can go suck off.
