I've dealt with the police in over 50 occasion's of my suspected wrongdoing and never had a problem because I was compliant and respectful. Smh at all of this. The police could have been more gentle, but you get what you get.

I hope they don't win the case. They shouldn't have been shoplifting. I mean their daughter does it. That means they have been doing it for a long time. What kind of example are they setting. Ok. So everyone is talking about the police report saying they admitted to stealing. True. The report does say that. But who's to say they did? Unless they admitted to that in the interviews they've done. The report also said they were loud. Which honestly I only heard the woman being loud. Also the report said that they were not complying but you can here the man say before the came up with guns drawn, "my hands are up." Then you can see clearly in the video after he has him handcuffed and against the police car, he tells him to spread his legs. He does but the officer kicks his leg and then yells at him and says he's not being compliant. Which he then tells the officer, "I am complying. I'm complying to everything." Also the police report states that the man had a suspended license. So why wasn't he charged or ticketed for that offense? There are some discrepancies between the police report (which honestly, the police can write down anything. The report can't be completely full of fallacies) and the video. Also no one knows what happened in between them leaving the store and the place where the incident took place. Had the police officer been wearing his body can or had it on, we would know. The point is they shouldn't have been shoplifting. But what the police did and said was out of control. More than once your hear the police threaten to shoot them.
All this could’ve been avoided if they didn’t steal from the store. Disgusting parents teaching their children how to steal. Shame on these cops for excessive force. Shame on both parties. Them cops should be fired and the family shouldn’t get a dime.

I believe the officers need training, undoubtedly the entire Phoenix police force needs training in community relations and promoting community trust, to update their police culture to establish citizens' trust and confidence in the law, for a happier and more cooperative city.

#1 problem for this incident, don't teach your 4 year old to steal, don't steal underwear in a store, if the police starts following you with a siren on, don't ignore them and keep going, if you get the police angry since you are not following their instructions, don't make them curse at you by not following their further instructions, keep a clean record not like these thieves who has a record, when you get arrested for not following their instructions by resisting to not spreading your legs, spread your legs.
