John Neville, 56, was being held on an assault charge in a Winston-Salem jail when he fell from bed and responding staff detained him in a way that prompted him to say, “I can’t breathe.”

  4. I have Hereditary Angioedema. it causes swellings and can be fatal.
    i remember being in jail fighting a charge i didn’t commit. i had hae attacks and could’ve died on multiple occasions. did they care? nope.

  6. They find him in the ground in vomit n blood bcuz he just has a siezure. So question: Why around you want to Restrain someone who just had a seizure? Obviously he is going to be confused n disoriented that's why he wanted to get up.

Quit breaking the law a-hole and it looks like your 'I can't breathe' training your aunt gave you knowing you were being filmed' didn't work out too well for you…. Well, John… You ain't breathing no more is you?? Does our media have any 'whites' in jail that can't breathe? There must be live footage of a white person that can't breathe somewhere!   12. Why has it become commonplace now that killing someone has become the only way to subdue them? Also, two black people were involved in this. The problem is not racism, it is with police actions. You have a disproportionate number of white cops, and a disproportionate number of black perps, thus the odds of white cop on black perp brutality is going to have more instances than any other color combination. The solution is police reform with dealing with the community. I’m sorry this man had to die at the hands of incompetent police who did not know how to properly subdue this man without killing him. RIP.

  30. You see. Stop personal cruelty. Spit wipes off. Suffocating a human over this should be life in prison. Period. Might as well used a trank gun to sedate a wild inmate.
