Some people should not be allowed to be cops just like some people should not be allowed to be parents. In this scenario, I can't blame the cop. He was probably scared that he might get shot by this kid if he was presumed to have a gun.
And as for his parents. Whatever the situation is, if you can't control and keep an eye on your kids and they end up pin situations like this, it is just as much your fault. When you decide to bring a life into this world, you are responsible for that life until that life grows up to be responsible for itself. Period. This cannot be held to the same standard as the Floyd case.
1. This kid should not have been out at these hours.
2. His parents should've been keeping an eye on him.
3. He didn't say anything when the cop was chasing him to try to plead his situation. Knowing the unrest going on in America with the police departments, the first thing this kid should've done is get on the floor. Period.
People are gonna say "you don't know his home situation. Maybe he wasn't treated well. Maybe his parents weren't home. Maybe he was being abused etc etc"
But doesn't this still fall under parental accountability?
1. Get your kid a babysitter.
2. Bring your kid with you if you're gonna be out all night or leave them with the neighbour.
3. Give your kid to a family who will look after them if you feel you're not capable as a parent.
4. Get the snip and don't have kids at all if you're not gonna be a good parent.
5. If your kid is prone to sneaking out, put locks on the doors and windows.
6. For the kids (if your parent is abusive): talk to somebody. A friend, a neighbour and ask for help!!!!! It is not completely impossible to find someone who is willing to help. I mean if you can leave your house at 2am you can certainly find time during the day to ask someone for help.
7. If a cop is chasing you. DON'T FUCKING RUN!!!! It is dumb and will get you killed!
As for the cop, I know that if I were chasing someone I thought had a gun too I would be fearful and ready to fire as well. It is a human response in a high pressure situation.
Personally, I would take away guns from cops all together if I were in charge of the police all over America of at least what can be done is to give cops two types of guns that they use in these situations.
1. One would be a tranquiliser gun which they would use in a situation they aren't fully aware of like this one.
2. Would be the normal gun but maybe with rubber bullets instead. I don't know much about guns. I'm not American so that is a given. But I think these two options would be legible.
Tranquilisers may be slower than bullets in slowing down the person but at least they'd cause less damage and give the cop time to assess the situation first. Why this hasn't been thought of and implemented, I will never know. Americans are just fucking stupid. On behalf of the rest of the world we do not claim them. And before yall come for me, just take a look at the state of your continent. And compare it to the rest of the developed world. Even less developed countries have more civilisation and sense than you. You wonder why there's so much gun crime in your country?! Take a fucking look at your legislation!!! You wanna protect black people from police brutality? Then have each white cop partnered with a black one! The blacks will always be just and protect their own.
And personally can I just say I am so disappointed to see black people in America attacking their fellow minorities. The Asians. Yall should be protecting them from them stupid Alabama back water red necks and not attacking them alongside them. Honestly. In about 15 minutes I've already solves half of the biggest issues facing your country than you have in the last century!

This cop did nothing wrong, I hate that everyone want the cop to be punished because he shot a 13 year old boy who literally had a gun in his hand. The cop was sad and heartbroken that he had to that. Unfortunately their are parents out there who can’t raise their children’s correctly. Just leave the cop alone and stop making him the bad guy when you all know who the bad person really is.

A cop had a split second to decide if a 13 year old Latino Kings gang member had thrown his gun behind a wall while quickly turning towards the cop and raising his innocent child arm (that previously had the gun in it)! —- If it were you, would you have done the following???? ——- 1. Not had your gun pointing at the perpetrator 2. IF you had your gun pointing at the perpetrator, then withheld your self preservation instinct desires and given the poor Latin Kings child gang member a chance to shoot at you hoping your body armor would protect you enough and that you would not get shot in your precious face??????? or 3. You know I’m a Hispanic male that has been harassed by the cops in numerous times! It’s very embarrassing tiering and frustrating. But let’s be honest even if I’m not a criminal or participant of crime. How many of our own kind are. This society has everything mixed up we are quick to attack the same people who are trying to keep us safe! This has gotten to this point in our community by glorifying the criminals in movies and music. Then government teachers and parents tell the youth no one can do anything to u! So u just build a community of children men and women who really believe that there is no repercussions to their actions! What was a child doing out at that time wtf why are children out pass 10 pm.
