If you think about it from a purely mechanical viewpoint, lungs are rather uniform fleshy air pumps. Doesn't matter if an animal has the specific receptors to exhibit symptoms of the virus or suffer consequences thereof. Fleshy air pump. What it breathes in that doesn't stick to the lining or get absorbed, must be breathed out. Every single lung is a 'superspreader'; it's helping to pump the virus everywhere. To not mask all animals is only half-arsing it… virtue signaling, making a mockery of 'the science'. We're all doomed, for real.
If we're making masks for and getting consent of all lunged animals, spiders would be a good one. I assume they breathe. Who's gonna sew spider masks, or volunteer to put 'em on 'em? We got an awful lot of pets, livestock, and wild animals to make masks for and get consent from. Has anyone else noticed that none of these animals are voluntarily masking? Ya'll are gonna gave to pitch in and help, sorry.

As a moderate conservative which the farmer probably leans as well in a time like this he proves identity politics doesn’t matter to true American patriots in the end. The mask should signify the beginning of the end of the extreme left and extreme right. Because you know what?!? This made me glow inside and I thought how nice it would be for a station to use 15 minutes of airtime each day to show the kindness of the American next door. The American sitting at her sewing machine making homemade masks for frontline staff. The American farmer donating food to food banks. The American who checks on a compromised neighbor. On and on. I'd much rather watch them than the nightly trump rally.

What a lovely story and a lovely farmer! I'm so happy Cuomo, another lovely person took time to read it! This story brings to mind an opposite story:
There were 5 people on an airplane that was about to crash: the Queen, Boris Johnson, Angela Mergel, Trump and a school boy. There were only 4 parachutes.
The Queen says "I am the Queen after all, I'll take one". She jumped.
Boris says: "I have to fix England, my people need me, I'll take the second one" and jumped.
Trump says "I'm the smartest man on earth, I'll take the third one" and jumped.
Mergel says to the schoolboy "I've had a good life and done everything I've ever wanted to do. You still have a long ahead of you and so much to give. Why don't you take the fourth one"!
The schoolboy whispers to Mergel: "there are still 2 parachutes, the smartest man on the earth took my bag back!"

I'm not American, but I've been watching all the global news coverage of this Pandemic, from my small conservative rural Australian town, especially the US developments as they are so much worse than here.
I've come to a conclusion. Well, actually two.
Irrespective of my own personal politics or my lack of personal stake in domestic US politics, my first conclusion is that Donald Trump has just made himself a one term President on the basis of his incompetence in handling this emergency.
My second is that should ever chose to use it, this bloke has just bought himself a first class ticket to the Presidency because of his.
It's a shame your President has been someone who would handle this as this one has, but on the flip side, thank God the place worst hit has been lead someone who's handled it as this man has, occasionally dark clouds really do have silver linings.
